Wall Sconce Graphite
The words and phrases painted on the interior walls are one of the hottest trends in home dà © cor. Whether it's a quote from a favorite poem or a simple word that says everything, this design trend is here to stay.
The good news is that you do not need to hire an expensive decorative painter for do the work, nor do you need to wait weeks for as rub on transfers from the wall to get to your door. This project fits into the category of do it yourself same, and use these simple guidelines, you can begin as soon right handle ... now!
You will have to pick some low-cost supplies to paper graphite, acrylic craft paint pens and brush painting artist or two (synthetic fibers are best for use with acrylic paints). Sure they also have plenty of printer paper on hand. This project will put the computer to work for you.
First Things First, select the word or phrase you want. If you need some inspiration, search online. Scrapbooking and greeting card sites are good places to begin your search. Al select a saying, let your personality shine through, while keeping in mind that the word or phrase to use. For example, a single word "Dream" will be appropriate in the bedroom above the headboard, but probably out of place in the guest bathroom.
Next, using your computer, select a source. There are literally thousands of fonts available for free download online, so having some fun and experiment. Once you choose the source, playing with size in order to create a pattern. Most likely, the source must be of a size considerably, so Dona't be surprised if they are only capable to print one or two letters on each page.
After creating the model, deciding on the placement of the phrase. With a level (or chalk pencil line), draw horizontal lines above and below, where it is said will be placed. Also, find out how much space you want between each letter and where you want to start the saying and end on the wall.
Once you resolve all issues of positioning, you can transfer the letters to the wall. Using graphite paper in the pattern, Trace the outline of the letters on the wall. Continue this process until all cards have been transferred to the wall.
And now for the final step of painting! Plumas use paint to outline the letters, then fill with craft paint acrylic.
Voila! You now have your own custom painted hand the phrase on the wall.
